The Work/Life Council seeks to develop, maintain and/or expand policies, programs, and a supportive culture within the University which helps faculty, employees, and students meet their competing demands of work and personal life.
- representatives from the Dental Branch
- representative from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
- representatives from the School of Public Health
- representatives from the Medical School
- representatives from the School of Nursing
- representatives from Harris County Psychiatric Center
- representatives from Health Science Center General
- representatives from retirees
- others deemed appropriate and appointed by the President

- Representative, Employee Assistance Program
- Representative, Student Counseling
- Representative, Recreation Center
- Representative, UT Health Service
- Representative, Human Resources

Term of Membership
Staggered two-year terms with one term expiring each year.
Charge
The committee will:
- Help to identify work/life issues and concerns of UT-Houston's institutional family;
- Serve as resource people for members of UT-Houston's institutional family who have questions and concerns about work/life related issues;
- Advise the Work/Life Coordinator about work/life issues, programs, and policies; and
- Advise the Institutional leadership about work/life related issues and concerns of UT-Houston's institutional family.
