Say ‘No’ to Final Four Gambling PoolsAlthough we all enjoy watching sports, remember that gambling, participating in pools, lotteries or other games of chance while on university premises is a violation of UTHSC-H rules. The University of Texas Board of Regents Rules prohibit gambling on the UTHSC-H premises and violation of these rules can result in disciplinary action including termination. Employees are expected to acquaint themselves with all rules, procedures and standards of conduct established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, the UTHSC-H, and their departments. However, with basketball’s Final Four fast approaching, the Office of Legal Affairs and Institutional Compliance (OLAIC) wants to remind employees about this important rule. If you have any questions, you may call OLAIC directly at 713-500-3294 or you may make a report by calling the Compliance Hotline at 1-888-472-9868, by e-mail compliance@uth.tmc.edu or by visiting the confidential Web Reporting Web site.
