Attention! PIs with research laboratories

Included in the standard is a list of 330 chemicals that the DHS has deemed as representing a risk of causing harm to the public through release, theft or sabotage. A facility which has possession of any of the designated chemicals in aggregate quantities in excess of the screening threshold quantities must submit to further screening and security assessments by the DHS within 60 days. Watch your mail for more information about complying with this time-sensitive regulation, or visit the EH&S website at http://www.uth.tmc.edu/safety/.
