The highly qualified staff of mental health care providers, at the UT Harris County Psychiatric Center, is devoted to the personal mental health of over 5000 patients who are admitted annually.
Mental health is the primary focus of the psychiatric physicians, psychiatric residents, psychologists, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians and chaplains who comprise the staff devoted to the personal mental health, and mental health recovery of those who suffer from various types of mental illness.
This mental health facility is a 250-bed acute care public psychiatric hospital. Patients receive individual mental health care from one of the finest mental health care centers in the country.
(UTHS) provides high quality, cost-effective ambulatory health care services, which include: comprehensive primary care, occupational medicine, health education, and radiological and laboratory services. UTHS is the provider for all employee health care for the university, as well as for Texas Women's University. Graduate students from the Schools of Nursing and Public Health use the clinic as a clinical practice site.
