The university or school logo can never be used smaller than 7/16” measured from the left to the right side of the shield. If a special application requires a smaller logo (for engraving, silk-screening or embroidery), consult with the Public Affairs staff about using a modified logo. The logo may appear with another logo, such as that of a collaborating institution or corporate sponsor. To ensure that the UT logo is clearly visible, the overall design should allow for a clear space – measuring a minimum of 1/2 the width of the shield – on all sides of the logo. Avoid confining the logotype to a box or other tight geometric outline.
