Around the university, other “logos” are used on occasion as graphic symbols of a particular event or service or research project. Special consideration should be given before developing a logo to “identify” a particular program or activity so that the graphic developed will be as effective as it can be in symbolizing the program as a part of university activities. A program or project “logo” should never be used without the presence of the appropriate university or school logo. In the case of a brochure design, the project “logo” may be the artwork on the center of the cover, with the university or school logo placed at the bottom as with all other brochure cover designs. (See “Publications”) Public Affairs staff are available to discuss the use of any special logos or symbols. UT Physicians, the Medical School’s clinical practice group, has its own logo that ties in with the university’s branding and identity.
