A university or school logotype must appear on everything produced by the university – regardless of the audience or purpose.

The correct name of the university is The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Three variations of the logotype are approved for use:

Flush Left Version
Preferred

Centered Versions
Preferred

Centered Stacked
Alternate

The “casual” health science center logotype is no longer to be used.

Because a logotype, or “logo” for short, is a piece of art, it may not be altered or reconfigured in any way. For example the shield must never appear alone.

Flush Left and Centered are the preferred logotypes. For application on an extremely vertical space – such as a podium or baseball cap – the Centered Stacked is available as a more vertical design.

So that it is always clearly recognizable, the university logo should never be displayed on top of a busy background of other art or photography, a graduated screen or other patterned paper stock or fabric design.
