President’s Awards Go to Development Board Members

Beth Robertson, chair of the successfully completed New Frontiers
Campaign, returns to her seat upon receiving the President’s Award for
Leadership at the annual Development Board meeting in January.
Robertson led the fundraising effort for the Brown Foundation Institute of
Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases with the late
Ben Love. “I also want to present you with my own special gift, yellow roses
for a yellow rose of Texas,” James T. Willerson, M.D., president of The
University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, told Robertson
when presenting the award. Robertson also was named a Lifetime Member
in recognition of her years of service to the Development Board.
