George Stancel, Ph.D., dean of The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston (GSBS), presents a photograph of current scholarship winners to Gayle Simpson, center, American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) national executive committee woman and immediate past president, ALA, Department of Texas, and Robbi Ruppert, 2006-07 president, ALA, Department of Texas. Simpson’s term was responsible for raising $55,000 for GSBS students engaged in cancer research.
