To Establish an Endowment

The UT System Board of Regents gratefully accepts gifts and approves the establishment of endowments at the minimum levels listed below:

Distinguished University Chair	$2 million
Distinguished Chair	$1 million
Chair	$500,000
Distinguished Professorship	$250,000
Professorship	$100,000

Endowed academic positions are held by faculty members appointed by the Board of Regents. The appointee, or holder, uses the endowment income as a salary supplement and/or for professional support, including research assistance. Donors may restrict the endowment to a particular school or program. Other endowments include fellowships, which may be established for $50,000, and scholarships, which may be endowed for $10,000.
