Kids Invited to Read & Romp

Children and families will “romp” through a maze of storybook activity stations and “rock” to a children’s concert presented by Trout Fishing in America at Read & Romp 2006, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at the River Oaks Country Club.

Sponsored by Friends of Reach Out and Read-Texas (ROR), last year’s event raised $50,000 in support of the children’s literacy program. ROR is directed by Susan Cooley King, Ph.D., assistant professor of pediatrics at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
