Shopping for Books – and More – Builds Scholarships

The Fourth Annual University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Holiday BookFair will again provide scholarship funding for students at the university’s six schools.

The scholarship BookFair takes place Thursday, Nov. 29- Saturday, Dec. 2, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3003 W. Holcombe.

Up to 25 percent of purchases made by supporters of the BookFair will go to help deserving students. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, as well as financial need.

The Barnes & Noble store has an array of items for purchase, including books, CDs, calendars, games, DVDs and other gift items.
