A Texas Farewell

Kenneth Wu, M.D., Ph.D., holds a souvenir longhorn statue at a farewell reception hosted by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston President James T. Willerson, M.D. Wu held the Roy M. and Phyllis Gough Huffington Chair in Gerontology and was professor of internal medicine at the UT Medical School at Houston and the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston (GSBS). He has begun a new position as president and distinguished investigator of the National Health Research Institutes in Taiwan. Behind him at the reception are Fu-Chin Kuo, Houston attorney and Wu’s sister-in-law; and John Byrne, Ph.D., holder of the June and Virgil Waggoner Chair and professor and chair of the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at the Medical School and GSBS.
