Symposium on Molecular Strategies
Molecular Strategies to Prevent Human Diseases will be the focus of a symposium 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, in the Beth Robertson Auditorium of the new Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
The morning keynote speech, the Seventh Hans J. Müller- Eberhard Memorial Lecture, will be “The Two-Edged Sword of Innate Immunity and Immunopathology” by Harvey R. Colten, M.D., professor of pediatrics, Columbia University Medical Center. The afternoon keynote speech will be “The Development of a Vaccine against Cervical Cancer” by Alan R. Shaw, Ph.D., president and CEO of VaxInnate.
The symposium is presented in conjunction with the dedication of the building for the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases.
