Surviving Stroke: The Journey Together, day-long conference April 1, beginning at 8:30 a.m., United Way, 50 Waugh Dr. Hosted by the UT School of Nursing at Houston’s Center on Aging for stroke survivors, their families and health care professionals. The conference will feature the premiere of a documentary about couples in the Houston area who are adapting to changes necessitated by a stroke. This year’s all-day event, May 18 at the School of Nursing and Student Community Center, marks the seventh annual conference highlighting research, innovation and technology in education. Bugs, Drugs and Vaccines: Securing Our Future, April 5-6, Moody Gardens Hotel, Galveston.
