Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D., 26th District of Texas, enjoys a tour of the new Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building with Irma Gigli, M.D., deputy director of the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases. Burgess, a graduate of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has oversight responsibilities for the National Institutes of Health. The purpose of his visit was to learn more about health-related and research institutions.
