Getting to Know You

 

A luncheon sponsored by the Research Council recognized research accomplishments of Outstanding Young Investigators nominated by their deans and department heads at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. The June 29 event gave the faculty members an opportunity to get to know one another and to meet some of the health science center’s leaders. Peter Davies, M.D., Ph.D., executive vice president for research, introduces Patricia Starck, D.S.N., right, dean of the UT School of Nursing at Houston, and one of the honorees, Kristy Lillibridge, D.V.M., assistant professor of epidemiology at the UT School of Public Health. The luncheon at Trevisio’s was hosted by the Offices of Research, the President and Public Affairs.Watch for more about the young investigators in a future issue of Distinctions.
