Key Professional Media asked more than 52,000 doctors around the state which physicians they admired and would recommend to patients and family members. It also identified Texas doctors who had achieved special recommendation from their peers or had demonstrated other indications of expertise in their specialties.
The doctors recommended most often by their peers and who had earned the highest recognition and respect in their fields were placed on the list, which was published in the December 2004 issue of Texas Monthly.
