Heart Association Award

The American Heart Association has recognized Kenichi Fujise, M.D., with the Established Investigator Award because of his outstanding research related to cardiovascular disease.

Fujise is associate professor in the Research Center for Cardiovascular Diseases at the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases, the UT Medical School at Houston and the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston.

The AHA funded 25 awards out of 148 applications. The five-year grants began Jan. 1.
