Building a Plan for the Future - Online
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston recently launched a new Web site for estate and charitable gift planning: http://publicaffairs.uth.tmc.edu/departments/development/planned/index.html.
The new site offers interactive tips and tools, such as a gift decision tree and a personal profiler, to help faculty, staff, alumni and friends build a personal plan for their own futures while helping the university. Donor stories featured on the site illustrate how others have used planned gifts in different ways to help the institution and themselves.
A planned gift is an immediate or deferred transfer of assets allowing the donor to make a contribution that both supports the UT Health Science Center and helps meet his or her own financial goals by reducing income, gift or estate taxes.
