Sharoon Saleem, student at The University of Texas School of Health Information Sciences at Houston (SHIS), discusses her poster, "Usability Testing of a Web-Based Information Resource as a Development Tool," with Craig Johnson, Ph.D., associate professor, SHIS.

"The goal of the poster program is to capture the scope of research at our university and to provide a forum for the presentation of the many outstanding examples of research being conducted by the students, fellows and faculty at our different schools," said Peter J. A. Davies, M.D., Ph.D., executive vice president for research, during his welcome to the Nov. 19 UT Health Science Center at Houston event. The program included podium presentations by 10 new faculty members, recognition of special award recipients from the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston, and poster presentations by UT Health Science Center students and applicants to the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston.

Sponsors included the health science center's Lone Star Legacy Society, Auxiliary Enterprises and CompSol Inc.
