Book Fair Benefits Scholarships
Holiday gifts can give twice when you purchase them during The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Scholarship Holiday Book Fair. Student scholarship dollars for all six schools will again be raised through a relationship between the health science center and Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3003 Holcombe at Buffalo Speedway.
Purchases of books (including technical books), CDs, calendars, games, DVDs and other items from Wednesday, Dec. 1, through Saturday, Dec. 4, will result in financial aid for students with the greatest needs. Sales upwards of $10,000 will result in a 25 percent donation.
Those who shop at the store need to identify themselves as supporting the drive and may designate the school their purchase will benefit. For more information contact Elease Jenkins, Office of Public Affairs, Elease.P.Jenkins@uth.tmc.edu, (713) 500-3035.
