Courtney Sarofim, far left, addresses the newly formed Leaders of Tomorrow group at its Dec. 3 kick-off event at the St. Regis Hotel. Leaders of Tomorrow is an organization of young Houston professionals who share an interest in health care, philanthropy and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Membership is by invitation and recommendation of the Leaders of Tomorrow steering committee.

From left, Windi and David Grimes and Kevin Panus were among the guests who heard Sarofim share her perspective on what it means to serve as an advocate for worthy causes and to be philanthropically involved. Guests also dined with four faculty members, who rotated with each change in course, including Susan Cooley, Ph.D., far right, assistant professor of pediatrics at the UT Medical School at Houston and director of Reach Out and Read-Texas.
