Philanthropic contributions to the annual fund allow for programs and services in education, basic and clinical research, technology development, and community service that would not otherwise be possible.

Gifts to the Annual Fund may be designated to:

  • The President’s Excellence Fund*
  • The Dean’s Excellence Fund*
  • The Student Scholarship Fund*

*Gifts to the Dean’s Excellence Fund and the Student Scholarship Fund benefit the six schools: Dental Branch, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Medical School, School of Health Information Sciences, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health.

The President's Excellence Fund

Through your generous philanthropic support, significant portions of this fund can be used to support scholarships, outstanding faculty, and academic programs of distinction.  This fund allows the President to seize opportunities as they arise, fund innovative research endeavors, recruit the most talented students and professors and provide faculty with critical resources when innovative but unbudgeted inspiration strikes.

The Dean's Excellence Fund

Your investment in one of the six schools at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston helps provide the best possible education, training and clinical experience for the next generation of healthcare professionals.  This fund allows each Dean to seize opportunities as they arise, fund innovative research endeavors, recruit the most talented students and professors and provide faculty with critical resources when innovative but unbudgeted inspiration strikes.

The Student Scholarship Fund

Many students cite a lack of available scholarships as one of their greatest areas of concern.  Philanthropic support of the scholarship fund allows the university to attract the best students, many of whom may not otherwise be able to make their educational dreams a reality.  Your gift can make the difference in the life of a student.
