Treatment of Cocaine Abuse/Dependence:
Houston, TX
Mental Sciences Institute
There is no single treatment for cocaine dependence that works for everyone, but certain medications may help in the treatment of cocaine abuse/dependence. Research in clinics like ours has found that the study drugs Modafinil and d-Amphetamine may have some benefit. This 16- week study will test Modafinil and d-Amphetamine to learn if they can reduce cocaine use. The study involves both medication and individual counseling sessions.

Treatment of cocaine abuse/dependence during methadone maintenance for opiate dependence: Pharmacotherapy Dosing Regimen

This study will test Modafinil and Citalopram to learn if they can reduce cocaine use. This is a 24-week treatment trial involving both therapy and medication. There is no single treatment that works for everyone, but certain medicines may help in the treatment of cocaine abuse/dependence while you are regularly taking methadone.
