The Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health will present, "Toxicology for Health & Safety Professionals," for both experienced professionals and those new to the field. Based on the new text, "Toxicology Principles for the Industrial Hygienist," Ken Still, Ph.D., will lead a team of instructors who are experts in the field. Participants will receive a copy of the new text. Register online.

Texas Medical Center students, faculty and staff are invited to a celebration of diversity and different cultural/ethnic backgrounds. A variety of ethnic foods will be provided and a fun-filled cultural program and booths displaying arts and crafts from different cultures. Tickets are $2.00 before Oct. 30, 2009. School of Public Health Student Association is inviting performers from different student organizations at UTHSC for participation in the cultural show .
